Sechin Hampton, DMD, Partner

Dr. Hampton received a BS in psychology and microbiology at the University of Georgia. After completing her undergraduate education, Dr. Hampton returned to her hometown of Augusta to attend the Medical College of Georgia (MCG), where she earned her DMD degree.

For Dr. Hampton, dentistry is not just her career—it’s her calling. She graduated at the top of her class at the Medical College of Georgia and still found time to volunteer for a mission trip to Reynosa, Mexico and mentor incoming MCG students. In an effort to perfect her skills, Dr. Hampton has taken numerous continuing education courses in oral sedation, implant placement, digital photography and transitional bonding.

Dr. Hampton remains an active member of several dental organizations, including the Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, American Dental Association and Academy of General Dentistry. She was also a recipient of America’s Top Dentist Award in 2009.

Having spent most of her life in Georgia, Dr. Hampton is a huge supporter of the University of Georgia football program. In her free time, she enjoys swimming, jogging and other outdoor activities.

Sarah Ahern, DMD, Partner

Dr. Sarah Ahern strives to provide her patients with quality care in a friendly and comfortable setting. She seeks to build professional and long lasting patient relationships, based on communication and trust. Her goal is to have you leave with a smile.

Dr. Ahern followed her childhood dream to become a dentist. She attended Case Western Reserve University’s School of Dental Medicine, where she researched the availability of endodontic therapy in place of dental implants and co-authored a paper analyzing risk factors for periodontal disease. While in dental school, Dr. Ahern was an active member of the Periodontal Club, Oral Maxillofacial Surgery Club, the Developing Leaders Club, and Delta Sigma Delta Professional Fraternity.

Fond of volunteering, Dr. Ahern works with a variety of causes, including Special Olympics and Dental Deputies, which introduces preschoolers to good dental hygiene. In her free time, Dr. Ahern is an avid traveler and outdoor enthusiast. She enjoys hiking with her husband, tennis, and photography. Dr. Ahern eagerly awaits the opportunity to serve her community and provide quality care to you in a comfortable and welcoming environment.

Frank F. Nia, DMD, MSEd, Partner

Dr. Frank received his DMD degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. While at the University of Pennsylvania he received a scholarship to the Graduate School of Education, where he earned an MSEd in higher education.

As part of his training, Dr. Frank holds active membership with multiple organizations that focus on improving both clinical and care standards. He is actively involved in the community and believes that the connection between a dentist and patient is more about overall health then just healthy teeth.

In his free time, Dr. Frank enjoys almost all sports, including football, tennis and golf. Most importantly, Dr. Frank loves spending time with his wife and family.

Alex Toub, DMD, MSBE, Partner

Dr. Toub completed his undergraduate studies at Simon Fraser University in Vancouver, Canada. He continued his academic career at the University of Pennsylvania, where he received his DMD degree. His unique vision of dentistry led him to pursue and complete his Masters of Bioethics at the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Medicine.

Dr. Toub followed his training with a General Practice Residency at the University of Nevada School of Medicine, where he completed training in advanced dental implantology, cosmetic dentistry and IV conscious sedation. His ability to offer sedation dentistry provides his patients with a more peaceful and relaxing experience.

Dr. Toub is affiliated with the American Dental Association, Georgia Dental Association and American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. Outside of his professional life, Dr. Toub enjoys traveling, playing sports and spending time with his family.

Rebekah Hancock DMD,

Dr. Hancock is a dentist with a passion for beautiful smiles. She attended Valdosta State University for undergraduate studies, and graduated with a Biology degree and a Chemistry degree. She was published in multiple articles for cancer research, worked as an insurance agent and a dental assistant to support her way through her undergraduate studies.

She and her husband Joseph relocated to Augusta, Georgia where she began her studies in dentistry at the Dental College of Georgia (DCG). During her time at DCG, Dr. Hancock served in multiple leadership positions such as the Dental Entrepreneurship Networking Society Representative and Give a Smile Foundation Fundraising Chair.

In her practice, she is a proud member of the American Dental Association (ADA), Georgia Dental Association (GDA), and the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD). She continues to grow in her practice learning new and exciting ways to give back to her patients. Dr. Hancock’s goal is to give patients a smile they are confident in sharing with others!

Dr. Hancock and her husband relocated to Atlanta, GA to join the team at NADG. She enjoys singing, weekends in the mountains, spending time with her family and two Boston Terriers.

Our Specialists

Abtin Shahriari, DMD, MPH – Oral Surgeon

Dr. Shahriari completed his undergraduate training at Emory University with a BS in biology. After receiving his Masters in Public Health from Emory University in Epidemiology and International Health, Dr. Shahriari worked for the CDC for three years. He also served as a consultant to the World Health Organization for eradication of the polio virus in Bihar, India. He received his DMD from the University of Pennsylvania with multiple awards for his research and volunteer work in Songea, Tanzania. He received his specialty certification in oral and maxillofacial surgery from Emory University.

As a result of his extensive research and academic interests, Dr. Shahriari has presented multiple articles at national and international meetings. He is actively engaged in research projects involving different aspects of maxillofacial surgery. He speaks three languages (English, Spanish and Persian) and believes that the most important and rewarding part of his work is the care of his patients. His philosophy is to approach treatment through the perspective of the patient, emphasizing that good communication is essential for exceptional care and a trusting, long-lasting relationship.

Outside of his professional life, Dr. Shahriari enjoys traveling, swimming and losing ping pong matches to Dr. Toub. Most importantly, Dr. Shahriari enjoys spending time with his family.

Ajay Ganti, DDS, MD – Oral Surgeon

Dr. Ajay Ganti is a dual degree oral and maxillofacial surgeon who practices full scope oral and maxillofacial surgery. Dr. Ganti earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from Columbia University’s College of Dental Medicine. He then matriculated into the Emory University School of Medicine, where he earned his Doctor of Medicine degree (MD). Dr. Ganti completed his surgical residency in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at Emory University Hospital, with advanced training in dentoalveolar surgery, dental implants, bone grafting, facial trauma, orthognathic surgery and reconstructive surgery. In addition, he completed a General Surgery internship within the Emory University Department of Surgery.

After residency, he completed a fellowship with internationally renowned surgeon, Dr. Pat Ricalde. Under her mentorship and guidance, Dr. Ganti received advanced training in the management of patients with craniofacial deformities, cleft lip, and cleft palate. His passion to provide care to those who are less fortunate has led him to mission trips to Jamaica and Bangladesh. Dr. Ganti has hospital staff privileges at Gwinnett Medical Center and Northside Hospital.

Out of the office, Dr. Ganti enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, running, playing golf and tennis.
